Tiger Airways is a low-cost airline which is based in Singapore. The main hub of the Tiger Airways is Singapore Changi Airport. It was founded in December 2003. Currently, it is the largest low-cost airline operating out of Singapore in terms of passengers carried integrated in September 2003. The airline flew 1.2 million passengers in the year 2006 with a growth of 75% from the previous year. In order to achieve operating-cost savings, the airline was the first to operate from the Budget Terminal in Changi Airport.
One of two airlines of Tiger is operated by its new Budget Terminal. Within a 4 hour flying radius of Singapore, destinations will encompass airports. The airline attempts to buy into regional carriers to expand into a pan-Asian carrier to overcome regulatory hurdles in the region.
