Haggis may available soon in US
Haggis is a non-veg food dish which contain sheep’s ‘pluck’ (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal’s stomach for approximately three hours. Since 1989, Haggis was banned by US authorities; because they feared its main components – minced sheep offal – could be dangerous. But after 21 years, it is assumed that Haggis will be available soon in US.

According to Larousse Gastronomique, “haggis has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savory flavor“. Since 1787, Haggis becomes a national dish of Scotland by Robert Burns’ poem Address to Haggis. Traditionally, it is served with “neeps & tatties” and “dram”. The ban was introduced in 1989 because of fears about the safety of British meat in wake of the BSE outbreak. But now, Haggis Dish is dubbed as the “great chieftain o’ the pudding race” can be ready to go back for the U.S., after the US Government announced plans to unwind legislation introduced on imported meats that has usually banned its sale.

Conan’s “Mine That Bird” Rumor
Before Conan O’Brien takes his final Tonight Show bow, he is apparently on a mission to cost NBC as much money as possible. Mine That Bird was the winner of 2009 Kentucky Derby; on Thursday, 21 January night’s show featured a senseless spending on Mine That Bird. The bit will cost NBC a whopping $4.8 million, said by Conan on air. On the Tonight Show, Conan claimed that on his final two days they will be having a lot of fun on television. Tonight Show had a lot of surprises planned; that he thought would blow viewers’ minds, said by him.

Conan really had the studio purchase Mine That Bird, or if he was just referring to what it would value to own the racing horse, it is slightly doubtful (unclear). It is unsure how much the mink horse snuggie or restricted NFL footage account for that $4.8 million price tag due to he also did not break down the costs of sketch element. Conan introduced a $1.5 million bit/character, the ‘Bugatti Veyron Mouse’, on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show”. Wednesday night’s mascot may have missed the mark in the cost department, reported by ABC News. NBC had existing agreements with music licensing companies. This would prevent any cost from live or time-delayed performances that is told by Entertainment lawyer Steve Gordon to ABC. If the Mine That Horse sketch misses its estimated $4.8 million blow, it will be interesting to find out. Continue reading »
