The 25 year old was motivated to paint after working at an Indian orphanage on completion of her university degree. The class action lawsuit that was filed against JPMorgan Chase Bank has reached a settlement. This lawsuit claimed that the bank improperly suspended or decreased home equity lines of credit on the basis of its determination that the properties protecting the HELOCs considerably rejected in value. Former and present Chase HELOC consumers, whose accounts were cancelled or decreased by Chase bank between January 1, 2007 and September 30, 2012 due to declined value of property that is protecting the HELOC, are qualified to participate in this class action settlement.

The lawsuit contends that Chase dishonored the Truth-in-Lending Act, infringed its clients’ HELOC Agreements, and desecrated customer defense laws. This settlement also includes a sub-class that involves ex-customers, who closed their HELOC account on September 30, 2012 throughout the time it was cancelled or decreased on basis of the fake declaration from Chase that their property had declined in value. Cash payment can be received by only ex-customer Subclass members, who have incurred compensation like a consequence of their HELOC suspension. Continue reading »
