Many people work hard to be successful in PSC examinations. In Kerala, exams conducted by KPSC have become a trend. KPSC (Kerala Public Service Commission) is an Indian government institution that recruits and hires candidates for public service jobs in Kerala. It is one of the biggest employment recruiting agencies in the country. It invites applications for number of posts; carries out physical efficiency test, written/practical test and interview; makes ranked list on the basis of the candidates’ performance and advises them for appointment strictly. Users can submit the application after getting registered at www.keralapsc.org. The site offers one time registration feature to make the application process easy. Users who are applying for the examinations regularly have to register only once and after that, they can login in website with their User ID and Password whether they want to apply for a post, download hall ticket, view examination result or else. No application fee is charged. Details in the registration card can be viewed, rectified and printed by the candidates. The applications will be rejected that are not submitted as per the instructions given on the website.
Candidates will find the list of all the posts having recruitment in progress under “Notifications” option. They can select the one in which they want to apply. The posts having recruitment in progress are also published in the Kerala government gazette and in the PSC Bulletin. Short notifications can be found in all Malayalam & English dailies as well as in some Kannada and Tamil news papers. Candidates can see the previous notifications that are provided on the yearly basis. Qualified candidates can apply online after login in to their account. They are required to complete the application form by providing necessary details.
The form has two sides: A and B which should be filled correctly without leaving any column. All the application forms have a unique eight digit barcode, which can be used in further enquires/correspondence. The “Examination” section provides information about the detailed syllabus, examination time table, rechecking of answer scripts and previous question papers. Candidates can download hall ticket of examination and rechecking form through the website. The KPSC exams are taken in an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) format. There are total 100 questions in the examination, which should be completed in 75 minutes.
The valuation will be done in OMR valuation style after conducting the examination. The ranked lists of candidates are published online by KPSC. Candidates can check their exam result in “Ranked List” section of the website with their roll no. The ranked lists of candidates are provided in Statewise selection and Districtwise selection. Users are able to see the ranked list of previous years. Candidates can also check “Short list” section on the website. KPSC has Shortlisted the candidates and they also send call letter to them. The candidate should attend interviews, if the name is listed in the ranked lists.
Candidates can view the interview program on the website. If the candidate completes the interview successfully, he/she will be selected for the job as per the rules and regulations. At Keralapsc.org, Candidates can also register and apply for departmental test and get results online. The website also provides information about recent updates, key answers, rotation charts, tenders and important orders and circulars. KPSC has released M-Governance Services through which a candidate can get Hall ticket, barcode and other services through SMS.
