Northwestern WebMail – Login or Sign in to www.Northwestern.edu – Northwestern University Webmail
An e-mail service intended to be primarily accessed by a web browser, as opposed to through a desktop e-mail client (like Microsoft Outlook, Pegasus Mail, Mozilla’s Thunderbird, or Apple Inc.’s Mail) is Webmail or Web-based e-mail. Northwestern University offers free service of webmail after login at its official website www.northwestern.edu/webmail. Northwestern University’ Webmail facility is available 24 hours a day. You have to select your mail server from the Northwestern University Webmail website and then on the next page you can login or sign in.
WebMail has numerous features including address books, personalized display settings, and support for mail folders. As WebMail includes all of these features, you can prefer to use WebMail instead of your normal email software. Webmail lets you read and write your e-mail on the Internet web from anywhere at any time. When traveling or using another person’s computer or an outside computer, such as at the library or at a trade show, using Web Mail is called as ideal.
Login or Sign in to www.Northwestern.edu – Northwestern University Webmail
You can directly access to Northwestern University Webmail page at www.Northwestern.edu/webmail. The limit on mail server attachments is 10MB, but due to the fact that WebMail attachments are hex encoded for processing, attachment limits are effectively 6MB. There is provided 4 types of servers given as under so you can choose whichever you want.
You can login to your @u.northwestern.edu account by providing NetID, NetID Password or Account Username, Account Password and press login button here. When you activate your NetID you receive a mailbox as a member of the Northwestern community. Your mailbox is the key to receiving all Northwestern e-mail. Once your NetID is activated, you can access your centrally provided NU e-mail account, and you can straight away start to use NU’s WebMail.
If you do not already know what your mail server is, go to directory.northwestern.edu. Under the heading, Northwestern University Directory type in your full name. When your name appears, click on the “more” option. Your mail server is listed under the option “mailbox,” for example, abc123@merle.northwestern.edu.
