Malik was born on 26 February, 1980 in Bhakar, Pakistan. Her father, Ali Malik was Pakistan Army soldier and her mother Zeenat Malik is a house wife. She has five sisters and one brother. Her two elder sisters are spending a blessed married life and one of her elder sister is a lecturer in Abdur Qadeer College Rawalpindi. Her younger brother is an L.L.B student and two younger sisters are studying, one in M.B.A and the other in M.B.B.S. She was named Zahida by her grandmother but the parents insisted on keeping Veena as her first name. Soon after her birth, the family settled in Rawalpindi. Malik was brought up by her grandmother and mother until her late teen age. She always expressed her keen interest in joining the film industry. Her father opposed the idea of joining the film industry deemed unsuitable for girls in Pakistan and initially resisted his daughter’s attempts to pursue a career in entertainment. However, her grandmother encouraged and supported her despite having the condemnation of many family members.

Malik has been a brilliant student and always topped her class. She cleared her matriculation with distinction and got third position in D.G.Khan Board. And she passed her intermediate and graduation with Sociology, Psychology and Persian from F.G College Rawalpindi. Moreover her outstanding positions in studies, she also joined extra curriculum activities; she got many certificates in Qirat, Naats and English, Urdu debates. She also participated in games like basket ball, high-low jumps and 100 meter race. Veena Malik also got N.C.C training and due to which she has a good aim.

Malik is a strong confident woman of today, she stands strong with a height of 5’7. She is a model turned actress, who is world-wide appreciated for her comedic parodies.
