An American journalist and screenwriter is Mark Boal best known for his work on the 2009 film “The Hurt Locker.” Staff Sgt. William James is followed by the Hurt Locker film in the Iraq war as he risks his life defusing bombs. The film is nominated for 9 awards. At the Academy Awards, for Best Director, director Kathryn Bigelow is also nominated.

The hurt locker film is a 2008 American war thriller. During the Iraq War, a United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team is followed by the film. Mark Boal wrote the story, a freelance writer who was embedded with a bomb squad. In Italy in 2008, it was first released theatrically.
