Every year, we get a new beauty icon through the beauty concert. This year ‘Olivia Culpo’ has been crowned as Miss USA 2012. Olivia Culpo created a history as she became the first Miss Rhode Island to be crowned as Miss USA pageant which was held at Las Vegas on 3rd june. She is a model and a great cello player since thirteen years. Olivia is the daughter of Peter and Susan Culpo. The 20 year old Miss USA belongs to a large Italian family and hails from Cranston.

Olivia Culpo graduated from St. Mary Academy-Bay View in 2010. At Boston University, she has just completed her sophomore year and for each semester, she has been on the Dean’s List. She described herself as a geek. During her high school, she got the opportunity to take part in 2 foreign language programs at Milano. Olivia still continues her education at the Boston University.

Culpo’s parents began their professional life as musicians. Naturally, Olivia was brought up in a surrounding where importance for music was rich. She started studying cello in the second grade, later on, she became a great cello player. She got a seat for herself in the Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York City and also a trip to England in 2010. Culpo was prominent in North Carolina for two summer music programs at the Brevard Music Center. She had participated in many programs as a cellist in the Bay View Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, RI Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble and Rhode Island All-State Orchestra and now, she keeps on performing with the Boston University Accompanietta.

Olivia Culpo has a slim and toned body. Her height measures about 5-foot-7-inch, Culpo is a chubby little girl in her childhood and she has really worked hard to retain her fit body. She eats healthy meals every 2-3 hours and stays away from liquids. She works out three times a week by doing resistance training and cardio. She aspires to be like Audrey Hepburn.

The current news about Olivia Culpo is that she will represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant which will be held on December 2012. She will spend her year by making special outward shows. Culpo will also take care of the responsibilities of being a Miss USA and promote the fight against the breast and ovarian cancer. In case, if she is not able to fulfill her duties then she will be replaced by the other runner-ups Miss Maryland or Nana Meriwether.
