In June 1985, as a subsidiary of Scottish Transport Group, the Scottish Citylink Coaches Ltd was formed. It has been operated as a 65:35 joint venture between Singapore based ComfortDelGro and Perth (Scotland) based Stagecoach Group since 2006.

How to book your tickets?
If you want to book your tickets and plan your journey route, then you have to visit at www.citylink.co.uk. You will find the option of journey planner at the top of the home page and the option of the book your tickets on the home page. For both options you have to enter the departing place in the From option, arriving place in the To option and select the type of ticket, enter depart date and time, promotional code and the number of tickets according to their types then you have to tick mark on quick routes or all routes then click on Search for coach times and fares option. If you want to reset your ticket booking then do it by clicking on reset option.
Types of tickets:
At www.citylink.co.uk, there are different types of tickets available, such as:
1.) Standard Tickets: Fully flexible tickets like Single, Day Return and Return are in the category of standard tickets. On all services these fares are available and can be purchased up to time of travel.
2.) Child Tickets: On a 30% reduction on Standard fares and can be purchased up to time of travel, these fares are based. On all services apart from their Belfast service, Citylink offers child fares.
3.) Discount: On all Standard fares services for holders of approved discount cards, and can be purchased up to time of travel, Citylink offers a 20% discount.
4.) National entitlement holders: On all of their scheduled coach services within Scotland, Citylink accepts National Entitlement Card holders.
5.) Apex: On most of routes, which offer up to a 40% saving on Standard fares, Apex fares are available. At least two days in advance of travel, Apex tickets must be booked.
6.) Super Single: Across Citylink’s network from as little as £1, a number of Super Single fares are available. At least one day in advance, these fares must be booked.
7.) Season Tickets: From 10 Journey tickets to monthly and annual season tickets, which offer great value for frequent travelers, Citylink offers a range of multi-journey products.
8.) Group Booking: Citylink offers a 10% discount when 15 or more Standard tickets are purchased to travel on the same service.

As a National Entitlement Holder do I have to book a seat on the M90 from Inverness to Edinburgh at 09.10 am on Saturday 6th March to make sure I am on that bus; have to catch a flight to Dublin in the afternoon.
