Gas & Energy Online Bill Payment:

For making a payment, Dominion provides different options for Residential Customers and business customers. For Residential Customers, there are different options such as online options and other options. In online options, eBill, Billmail, Bank Draft, Credit Card or Electronic Check, and MyCheckFree.com are included. In other options, Pay in Person, U.S. Mail, and Pay by Phone are included. Business customers can pay by P-Card, EDI.

For bill payment online, you have to enroll at Dominion. To enroll, you will need:

  • Dominion account number
  • e-mail address
  • Pin (usually the last 4 digit of your SSN or tax ID)
  • Banking information (optional)

Online Options:

eBill:

eBill is a paperless billing program. You will receive an e-mail each time your account has a new bill after enrolling. Summary bill information and a link will be included in e-mail to view your bill and other important billing information. You may also choose to pay your bill online for free.

When your bill will ready then you will receive an e-mail with summary bill information to view your bill online. You have to choose that your payment deducted from your bank account or any other way such as:

  • Dominion’s automatic bank draft
  • CheckFree
  • Online banking

BillMail:

To receive, view, and pay the bills online or through email, BillMail is a free service from Dominion. Customers will no longer receive a paper bill through the mail after enrolling in BillMail; however, customers can login into their Dominion BillMail account and print copies of the bill at anytime.

To successfully use BillMail, you must complete 3 easy steps:

  • Create a customer account (one-time)
  • Activate your enrollment through the Activation Email
  • Receive your monthly Dominion BillMail® email, login and pay your bill

When your latest Dominion bill is available, you will receive a BillMail message to view and pay right in your email (payment is optional).

Bank Draft:

No need to write another check with this service.

  • Choose the most convenient draft day for you.
  • Payments are automatically deducted from your checking or savings account.
  • It’s free!

When your payments will be deducted, your monthly statements will show after your enrollment. Until your bill includes the message that your payments will be automatically drafted, you have to continue to make payments as you normally would.

Credit Card or Electronic Check:

Anytime, you can pay your bill and/or deposit online. You can also make a payment by phone. Call 1-800-573-1147.

Payment methods accepted:

  • Check
  • Credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Discover)
  • P-Card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover)
  • Debit card (Star, Pulse, Accel or NYCE networks)

You will need your account number and your check or credit card information.

Credit card payments and electronic checks are not primary payment methods therefore there is a fee of $3.95 per residential customer transaction and $14.95 per business customer transaction. For your records, make a note of your unique receipt number.

Find an authorized payment center (fees may apply). Pay your electric bill and/or deposit in person at any Dominion Authorized Payment Center.

  • You can pay with cash, check, traveler’s or cashier’s check or money order.
  • A convenience fee may be charged by the authorized payment center and must be paid in cash.

Electronic Check Conversion

To convert a consumer’s paper check into an electronic transaction, Electronic Check Conversion is a payment process at the point the payment is processed. When you send a check through U.S. Mail, you authorize Dominion to convert your paper check into an electronic debit, which instructs your financial institution to transfer funds for payment from your account to us.

EDI:

Make a payment electronically:

If you are a business customer and send or receive data via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), you can receive and/or pay your electric bills electronically.

Electronic Billing:

To receive your bills electronically, you should have:

  • Installed translation software that can translate an EDI formatted bill,
  • Made arrangements with a third party to receive and translate the EDI bill. An EDI-capable bank could serve as the third party.

Receiving bills electronically has two major advantages:

  • Pull billings directly into an Accounts Payable system without having to key the invoice.
  • Pull energy information directly into an energy management system.

Electronic Payments:

When you pay your electric bills electronically, they can credit your account directly and without manual review. It is important the payment be received with the correct account number.

They currently use EDI version 4010 format. Payments may be made in one of these formats:

  • CCD+
  • CTX with an EDI820 addendum

As with electronic billing, an EDI-capable bank may facilitate such payments for you.

For logging in, you have to visit official website of Dominion. You will see the “sign in” option at the top side of home page. Click on “sign in” option, enter user name, password and click on “sign in” option. if you have forgotten your user name and password then the options of “forgot your user name” and “forgot your password” is given there.

New users have to go for registration. To register click on “register” option that is situated at the top near “sign in” option. registration is three step process, you have to enter your user name, e-mail address, reenter e-mail address, password, select a question and write its answer.
