CHASE Banking Services are excellent.
CHASE Online Services are excellent.

CHASE Amazon is the absolute most terrible experience with a credit card I have ever and I mean ever had.

This card issuer policies and communications make American Express look like nice guys and Discover look like saviors.

My complaint with the service is that I make a payment of $1500 from my Tax Refund and the lenders (according to customer service) decide to lower my limit by 40%. If I could have even imagined that this would happen I would have paid off less and stored the money to pay the balance down more slowly. What happened next is that I was always hovering close to the limit until the unfortunate day my balance went over by $10.93. To "reward" me further, my interest rate was increased by almost 48%.

Hmmm... are they trying to send me message? According to customer service (who had a snotty tone) there was no agenda. By any form of analysis, it is clear that I was set up ESPECIALLY since I received no notice of the limit reduction. I knew customer service would say that I was given notice.

All my credit card companies work with me and Amazon Chase decides that my only options to fix this (according to customer service) is to a) "it's your choice if you want to close your account" b) "create a payment plan to reduce your interest rate to CLOSE your account" c) just shut up and pay.

This is hurtful and horrible.

-A customer who not only helped deploy computers, printers, scanners, etc. for Chase in the conversions from Bank of New York, but also a customer who wants to have a continued pleasant relationship with the bank that I grew up knowing (most of my relatives have a Chase account).
