In New York City, doormen are on strike. To avoid strike that was to begin at 7 am on 21 April, 2010, Agreement on a new contract with the union representing about 30,000 doormen, porters, caretakers and building superintendents has been reached by the owners of more than 3200 apartment buildings in New York City.

Approximately around a million of the apartment owners across the entire of the NYC were impacted by the current Doorman strike NYC 2010.

The current agreement (which came afterwards of the Doorman strike NYC 2010) was signed in by both the parties to the contract that is the SEIU’s 32BJ as well as the RAB or the Reality Advisory Board. The signed agreement is as a new four year agreement.

Until then the Doorman strike NYC 2010 was in effect, for many days, the discussions between the parties were going on now that were actually absorbed around the time of midnight on Wednesday.

In the New York City, for around a million of apartment owners, it was a really hard time to face such a strike in the first place. For nearly twelve years in a row now, such a strike has not been faced by New York, and the current New York Doorman strike was not expected off to even embark on in the first place by the building owners.
