Let me start at the beginning:
Standing against the wall seeming to observe his crew having fun was a tall, lean, but muscular man. He was proportionately built to be a model for a garden sculpture. His muscles appeared to be firm, but not bulky. His skin was the color brown like that of a paper bag a proprietor would place your purchases’ in. It made me think of a bag full of penny candy. He kept his eyes half closed. I don’t know if this was an affectation or not, but if it were it was well practiced. It showed off his lengthy eyelashes which allowed in just enough light for one to view his dark brown eyes. His eyes were so dark that when they caught a glimmer of light and if at the same time he flashed his perfectly beautiful white teeth, one was made to feel as if one were receiving a gift from the almighty himself. Instantly aroused physically, and emotionally I knew I wanted to be with him.
We were in a nightclub. I was under aged. I believe most of the patrons were also to young to be in a club ordering and drinking alcoholic beverages.

Nevertheless, I continued to observe my Adonis sipping his drink and checking out his crew interacting with the crowd of what appeared to be regulars in the place. It was my first time in the club. I was there to see if I could get hired as a go-go dancer. I had just begun earning money as a paid dancer. Well, that night I didn’t get the job. I was distracted. I paid almost no attention to the conversation concerning the possibility of work. Instead I kept my eye on the Adonis. Soon he felt my presence. He slowly came over to where I was sitting and over my shoulder he placed an order for more drinks, adding in a slow melodious tone “and give this lady whatever she wants; be sure to put her order on my tab.” I was impressed. He took the drinks he had ordered over to a table and somehow alerted his crew to the newly ordered drinks then took up his standing position against the wall. I didn’t know any ones’ name at this time, but I was still feeling a certain energy from “the guy.” I was drawn to him like a female victim would be if she were hypnotized by count Dracula. I left the club with the cool, man and his crew. I learned his name, through conversations between him and them. Can you imagine? Me, a sixteen year old leaving a night club with strangers, people whose names I didn’t even know. People who I had never seen before; and yet, I felt perfectly safe. He was forced to marry some other girl he had
impregnated and I had my baby alone. Years later, we met but we were both married to other people. I still dream of being with him but I don’t covet him or his wifes lifestyle.
