In the NCAA Men’s Basketball, Big 10 is one of the strongest divisions. Big 10 Basketball Tournament has been played since 1998 every year.

In the first 11 years of the Championship Tournament, Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin & Michigan State each has won two Big Ten Tournament titles. The winner of the tournament is designated the Big Ten Tournament Champion and receives the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The Big 10 Basketball Tournament 2009 winner was Purdue Boilermakers.
