On March 19, 2010, a finance minister of Tamil Nadu state, “K Anbazhagan” presented budget for the year 2010-2011 in the Assembly-Secretariat complex. The deficit budget was presented of Rs 3,396.45 crore and abstained from imposing fresh taxes.

As declaring the fourth budget of the DMK government, the minister said there is reduction in taxes and no fresh taxes are introduced.
